For the past 3 weeks we have been studying Africa. I think we could spend the entire rest of the year studying Africa. There is SO MUCH to learn. It's such a beautiful, fascinating place. We really enjoyed learning about this continent. We were also very fortunate to have a visiting nurse for nana who was from Africa. We learned a lot from her as well and she even showed us some African dances.
We learned how to play Mancala. This game was so much fun, I probably never would have bought it unless we were doing this study and we definately would have been missing out. This game will be very well loved.
I also found this really cool 3-D wood puzzles, we built them and then painted them.
our flags of the world bulletin board (er..kitchen wall lol) no room in the homeschool room for this, but I think it's a very useful tool so in the kitchen it shall stay!
Our science focus has been on the grasslands we learned so much. Plant-eaters, meat-eaters and how the animals survive on the open grasslands.
Then we had the most fun playing safari with our 3-D wood animals. ROAR!!!
Check out that lion that Jadyn made!! Very cool!
Rhino's and monkeys too!
all together now! We are now off to Saudi Arabia, I wonder what adventures we will find there.
