..and then there were two....

little eggs..aren't they so tiny! Bindi laid her second egg today. She should lay her third one in about 48 hrs and then should start sitting on them. Hard to believe that a little life will soon pop out of those tiny eggs, God is so amazing!

We are not sure yet if it is a viable chick, this being her first clutch we are not holding out much hope, but if it is it will be very very exciting. It is too soon to candle the egg yet so we will just have to wait and see. They are being very protective of this little egg. I got bit twice taking these pictures and they drew blood OUCH...so worth it though. Good Night little egg!

Some fun things I found

During a shopping trip the other day I happened across these fun foam puzzles for only $1. I thought they would be great learning tools so of course I picked up 1 of each kind. The kids LOVED them and I thought they were so colorful and fun.

Some exciting news

Our 2 cockatiels were starting to act parental, so I put a nestbox in their cage and they took right to it. Here are some pictures when I first put the box in, since then they have built a nest inside and laid an egg! Not sure if it is fertile or not, but we are very excited.

1st snow!

1st snow of 2009! Not too much, but enough to be pretty. Pepere came over for a morning visit and decided to shovel the driveway for Jim because he had to work. Jadyn decided to go out and help him so of course I had to take some pictures and here they are..so cute!

Christmas is almost here!
every year, the kids and I, make a gingerbread house together. This year I found a house and a tree, so we did both. Following, in no particular order and with no rhyme or reason are some pictures of our projects this year. We hope you like them!

Back to school..

We took a little break for our vacation and Thanksgiving but school is back in session now full force. Jadyn is getting extra reading help from a tutor from Bryant college and it has made a huge difference for her. She no longer hates reading and it doing so well. I am so proud of her progress.

Jesse continues to amaze me every day with how quickly he catches on to things and the things that he remembers. It's been a great year so far and I am having a blast watching their little minds explode and seeing their joy when they are working hard at something and it finally clicks..

last week Jesse continued his lessons about the human body and nutrition. He made a food pyramid, did lots of food pyramid lessons and also was happy to learn that his formula fit into all the food groups, because it has all the nutrients he needs to survive. I think these lessons (that I was dreading for obvious reasons) really made him realize just how important his formula is to him..he asked lots of questions about it and it was a great lesson for both of us..Jadyn learned about Rosa Parks this past week and was absolutely horrified that people would be treated that way just because of the color of their skin. At one point she actually started crying. She's such an empathic little girl I'm so proud of her..she really has a heart for other people.. above are a few pictures of their work this week...
